LinksThe following links lead to several pages that have helped me in my research. The are provided here for those of you who might want to view the records where I got my information or who would like to do some research on your own. Ancestry.com - I have never found much usefull information on what is the largest genealogy database on the internet. I have tried their free trials of various databases with little success and their prices are pretty high for their services. However, I uploaded my entire family tree to the Ancestry.com database so that others can look at it in a much more organized way then I can provide. It also includes search capabilities and will allow other genealogists to find our family tree and help add to it. Scotlands People - This site has been immensly helpful in tracing my Scotish ancestry. It offers a whole slew of scanned in copies of origional Scottish records on a pay-per-view basis which I like a lot. The site also offers a discussion group with many helpful researchers. I highly recomend this site. Family Search - This is the genealogy portal of the Church of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons). This site has several fully searchable databases including the International Genealogical Index, 1880's census's for Britain, Canada, and the U.S. and the Social Security Death Index. I have found a lot of information on this website and all of the records are free access. Ellis Island - This site is also run by the Mormons and features a fully searchable database of the majority of immigrants who came through ellis island in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. I have been able to find passenger records for many of my ancestors though the searching was often rather difficult. Scans of the original passenger lists are available for many records. Arlington Cemetery - This site, run by Edward Murray, offers cemetery records and photos of gravesites for a very good price. Again, this is a highly recomended service and Edward has been very helpful to me.
